THC In Marijuana Helped Crohn’s Disease

In this prospective trial, 21 Crohn’s disease patients with an average age of 40 who had not responded to therapy with steroids, immunomodulators, or anti-tumor necrosis factor-α agents, were studied.

Ten out of the eleven patients who were treated by smoking cannabis twice daily with 115 mg of THC each session over the course of 8 weeks achieved significant clinical, steroid-free benefits without side effects.
