Nearly everyone has heard the one about marijuana (cannabis) causing brain cells to die. Based on the number of times that propaganda was circulated around the United States you would think there were many studies of validity which found this to be true.
You would be wrong. Quite wrong.
In fact, when Ronald Reagan made his presidential statement about marijuana killing brain cells it was based on 1 study. Of only 2 monkeys.
But it gets worse.
The 2 monkeys were forced to wear gas masks and received the smoke equivalent of 63 joints in 5 minutes! Every day for a period of 3 months!
The fact is that the “study”, and the subsequent “findings” were really a study on oxygen deprivation and carbon monoxide poisoning, like closing your garage and running your automobile for 5-15 minutes daily for 3 months.
To this day no one has been able to reproduce and verify the findings of that worthless study, but propaganda groups still refer to it to prohibit your access to natural medicine.
