A treatise written in the 15th century, preserved as a manuscript in Paris, tells of a poet who administered hashish to the epileptic son of the Chamberlain of the Caliphate Council in Baghdad.
It is reported here that this epileptic individual had no more seizures but had to continue to use the preparation.
Marijuana in its many forms was used to treat seizures for many centuries in India and possibly in China.
