Many people think the information showing that cannabis (marijuana) can help reduce tumors is new, but some scientists knew about this amazing result in animal studies as far back as the mid 1970’s.
In the summary of this study, published in 1975, the authors indicate that Lewis lung adenocarcinoma growth in mice was slowed by oral administration of 3 components found within marijuana.
Various positive results were shown with delta 9 THC, delta 8 THC, and CBN. This included decreased tumor growth when delta 9 THC was administered for 10 consecutive days beginning the day following tumor implantation.
