As the United States re-enters an era in which marijuana becomes legal again (state by state) for usage, there will still be many false stigmas which some will face with friends and family. A few of these may be oriented around the “you just want to get high” type of accusations, despite the fact you have a medical reason to take the natural medicine.
But in a recent study done in Washington state between 2014 and 2016 on medical marijuana card holders, it was observed that medical cannabis users are less likely to engage in alcohol utilization and related problems than do recreational marijuana users.
The results showed that medical users had fewer drinks per day, fewer occasions of drinking, and fewer average maximum number of drinks.
How is this important to you? If you’re one that faces opposition to your medical usage of natural marijuana, you may be able to point out that at least one observational study shows you’re actually more responsible than they might think, and that you’re using it for the medicinal benefits it brings.
